The letter (U) is a vowel.

It can make a short sound or a long sound.
When the letter (U) says its name, you hear the long sound. For example; cute.

The short sound is heard in words such as; cup, tub, and many more.

Language: Reading "AD" Family

  Activity One 1.  Students will view a video about the “ ad ” word family. 2. Students with guidance from the video will blend the sound of letter “ a ” and letter “ d ” to make the proper sound of “ ad. ” 3.
