Objectives:

👉 Name some communicable diseases.

👉 Identify ways in which communicable diseases are spread.

👉 Identify ways to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.


Content:

A communicable disease is also called an infectious disease.

Some of these diseases are;


*Chicken Pox
*Cold and Flu
*Red Eye
*Ringworm
*Mumps
*Measles
*Covid 19









Activities:

👉 Girls will view the link above with parent.

👉 Parent will pause video after communicable diseases have been explained and engage daughter in a short discussion about what was just seen. Ask the following question:

* Do you know of any other disease that we could get from each other?

👉 Show the pictures of a few other diseases, naming them. Be sure to let girls know that Covid 19 is also a communicable disease.

👉 Continue watching the video to the very end.

👉 Stress on the importance of following the rules that tell how to prevent the spread of a communicable disease.
